Personal Information:

Home building has always been a part of my life. Growing up, Dad had a work truck, my four brothers and I had work boots, and visiting the neighborhood job sites was part of life. After eighth grade, I began working during Summer breaks, and Saturdays during the school year. I was never given the “cushy” jobs often given to the owner’s sons. We started out digging ditches, carrying hod, sweeping/cleaning, and other labor work. As a third-generation builder, I was exposed to and gained experience in most of the trades. I also completed remodeling, renovations and apartment maintenance in addition to my full-time job with the family business. In 1993, I transitioned from the field into sales and estimating. 

In 2007, the family business changed due to the second generation retiring and the dramatic changes in home building and real estate market. In 2012, I formed my own LLC and began remodeling, home building (including off site) and multiple other projects.

I chose to name my company, “Adam Zengel Builder” because it’s who I am and what I do.

I am available at the start of your project and most every day until completion. My building schedule is based on adhering to this regiment. Working with my trusted trades and suppliers assures what you see in my other projects is what you will receive in yours. 

Work Philosophy:

In our first meeting, my goal is to get to know my clients, talk about their project or new home. Then we work on preliminary drawings, design work. From there, I work on final drawings, specifications, allowance and a construction timeline. My contract includes a basic price, with separate allowances for fixtures, windows, flooring, cabinets, counter tops etc. You will have a good understanding of the home I will build for you.
